For people who are wondering where is Bryant Park, it is a famous botanical garden, located on the eastern side of Kodai Lake – Kodaikanal, in the district of Dindigul, Tamilnadu.
Bryant Park was founded in the year 1980 by a British Forest officer named Bryant. It is close to the Bus station of Kodaikanal, near COAKER’S WALK. Every year in the month of May the annual flower show of Kodaikanal is held in this park. Thousands of people throng to the park to view the show. In the months of summer, it is full of visitors to enjoy the different species of trees and flowers in the garden. There is also a children’s play area in the park where the children can play and have a good time. There is a glasshouse inside the park, which has different types of plants, flowers, orchids etc.
Photography is not allowed inside the greenhouse. The garden consists of flowers like Dalhia, Premula, Fusschias, Watsonia etc. There is a fountain inside the park but it is not in working condition. Entry to the park is not free; visitors need to purchase tickets at the gate of the park. The Government is taking more initiative to maintain Bryant Park.
