Chamba Tourist Places

There are two Chamba’s in India. The Chamba Himachal Pradesh is a historic township that has been in existence since BC. The city is renowned for miniature art and other festive celebrations. This township is actually situated in a small valley though it is a hill station.

The river Ravi which starts in Himalayas, meets Sal River here before flowing down to Punjab and Pakistan through Indus River. Chamba of Himachal Pradesh is located on this river’s banks. The Mountainous surroundings make it very picturesque and green to look at. The town has many Palaces, temples, and places of historic interest to visit, apart from the scenic surroundings.  Famous temples here include Champavati temple, Lakshmi narayan temple, and Chamunda Devi temple. Other places that tourists visit in this hill station include Church of Scotland, and Akhand Chandi Palace. Other information about chamba is available in city guides and even on the websites of Himachal Preadesh Tourist Development authority.

Chamba is basically a very small township, so it is necessary to confirm booking in a hotel in Chamba. There are ample buses travel ling rom Delhi to Chamba. Chamba has a rail station which connects it to Delhi and Chandigarh. The Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun is perhaps one of the closest one.
