Bikaner Tourist Places

Bikaner is another town of Rajasthan that was once a Kingdom that was later converted into State of Bikaner during British regime.  It was located on the land route that linked the Rajasthan’s Thar desert to regions of what is now Pakistan.  Thar desert was rather impoverished region but Bikaner had a few springs.  That fact, however, did not deter the erstwhile kings from building palaces and temples out here.

The famous Junagarh fort is in Bikaner Rajasthan. Majestic Lakshmi Niwas Palace and Lal garh palace are other two attractions of this city. There are plenty of well known temples as well, which are a witness to the rich cultural heritage of this township. Modern dams have added to its resources, making the city greener when compared to many other cities in Rajasthan state. Historic facts about Bikaner and its palaces can be found in city guides.

There are many hotels in Bikaner, including the Bikaner Palace.

The Lalgarh palace is now a heritage hotel in Bikaner giving guests a chance to enjoy the royal lives of kings and queens of Bikaner.  The rulers of Bikaner had a special Bikaner House in Mt. Abu. Today this palatial house is also run like a hotel.
